I was in WL to visit my oldest kid who is a sophomore there. Went to football game until she got cold. I also went to most of their basketball exhibition against Indiana State. The game was competitive at half time with Purdue holding a 4ish point lead. They eventually won by 20. There weren’t really any surprises. We know a lot of these guys. C. Edwards, V. Edwards, Thompson, Cline, Mathias, Haas. They all did what they do. Very solid team. Typical Purdue. Haarms is a RS Freshman. 7’3” but skinny and is a left handed Haas minus 50 pounds or so. More athletic but pretty easy to push around. Solid backup. Haas lite. Nojel Eastern is another frosh. He is a kid we recruited. Solid. Does everything pretty well. Seemed to lack plus athleticism. Should be in the mix but I think his ceiling is somewhat limited. His floor is probably high though. The team overall should be in the top 4-5 in the B1G, I would guess.
