Young Mr. Dickinson saved the team's bacon tonight. He played calm among a team that compounded a horrid first half and inability to hit wide open 3s with frustrated rushing into charges and unnecessary risks.
BUT, he's yet to play against an athletic big or a stretch big who comes close to his size, let alone one who has scouted him and knows to take away the sweeping left... i.e., he's yet to play against a high D-1 big. He has some advanced instincts, but will not physically dominate B1G Cs let alone NBA-destined D-1 bigs... indeed, right now, he'll likely be physically dominated by most of them. That is no shame... he'll be playing his first high D-1 ball when those games come, rather than Austin Davis, Brandon Johns, and the pre-season opponents.
That said, he's going to be really fun as he further expands what he's shown of his game to include outside shots, shot-making + passing from high post, etc.
