Well slimy old James Franklin's team is now 0-4...So at least we will have them below us.
Misery loves company, I guess.
What interested me about their game vs Nebraska has led me to pose this question: Knowing that you were going to lose the game, it it worse to lose when you outgain a team by more than 200 yards (PSU outgained Nebraska 501 yards to 298)?
Or it it more painful to get dominated both statistically and on the score board in a loss?
That Nebraska/PSU game was such a weird one statistically: PSU outgained them by a ton of yards, and had a whopping 13 more 1st downs, and they still lost. I expected to see a huge disparity in turnovers, but it was only 2-1 in favor of Nebraska.
Penalties? Pretty much even, with PSU being penalized for 11 more yards and Nebraska having one more call going against them (5-4).
So what happened? I didn't get to watch anything but the end of the game. There were no big kick returns by Nebraska or special teams scores. PSU was 3/4 FGs, Nebraska 3/3.
Was Nebraska's sole defensive TD the entire difference?
