Maybe Tom Crean should be on the hot seat. PSU lost by a combined 30 to UM and gets blown out most nights yet a 9-1 IU can't win at PSU? Maybe Turgeon, whose accomplished way less than Beilein the last 5+ years should be on the hot seat for losing to a UM team minus Levert that has lost by double digits to their other 7 best opponents? Maybe Izzo should be on the hot seat, because his last 5+ years is near identical to Beileins. AND he lost at home to Nebraska for the third straight year, a team UM dominated on the road for 40 minutes this year and has completely dominated for three straight years, unlike Izzo. Maybe Bob Huggins and Roy Williams should be on the hot seat because Beilein the clown and his band of misfits beat Texas yet Texas beat both of them?
Two obvious points from my insane suggestions. 1) you can't sway back and forth game by game and during slumps. Like when we lost at PSU a couple years ago people were railing on Beilein and wanted him fired. You know who you are. I think we made the finals that year. 2) no doubt beyond all of the transitive comparisons that the eye test shows this team is in trouble and these coaches have a lot to do, including recruiting. But just like Rutgers football can't recruit because their fan support sucks, neither can UM. Yes, recruiting should still be better, but...
Our fan support still sucks. You're 7-2, hosting 8-1 IU and there are 1500 empty seats in the third smallest arena in the big ten. Kids want great atmospheres. Ours sucks.
