You read his quotes and it is pretty obvious....The guys is of average intelligence and his social skills are even worse. BTW, this sentiment is something my buddy who was in the Bears organization has told me over and over. He told me to look at Harbs TD/INT ratio in Chicago and you will understand.
You also have to remember that UM fans will lap up everything he says because they are so desperate. They need affirmation. The media will play to that sentiment as it garners clicks and views. I like Harbaugh at UM because the guy is bizzare. He will do something outrageous and UM fans will defend him to the ends of the earth even when it makes no sense. UM was not going to be down forever. Too many resources for that to happen. Better they are led by a guy who is a loose cannon and at some point is going to force UM fans into a moral dilemma.
Bottom line, MSU has a tradition. UM knew about and and decided to not vacate the field. I asked my UM friend what if this was a Wolverine tradition and a few MSU players refused to leave field even if the tradition was a few minutes late? His response was "we would not be late". I asked would you scrap the tradition because of that?....Crickets.
