*** It's no secret Michigan has a need for defensive tackles. As expected, the Wolverines are taking a closer look at the transfer portal to find some immediate help upfront. With National Signing Day behind us, U-M is now taking a closer look at the portal, which is filling up with new names on a daily basis. It's still early with the guys I'm about to mention, but Michigan is tracking them. The first I want to list is Penn State defensive tackle Antonio Shelton. He has one year of eligibility remaining and was a factor in the Big Ten over the last two seasons, tallying 31 tackles, including 8.5 tackles for loss, and four sacks in 21 starts. The Ohio native is listed at 6-foot-2, 327 pounds, so he would fit the mammoth description that this board desires.

*** Michigan doesn't have to look very far for its next potential target. The Wolverines are monitoring Central Michigan graduate transfer Mohammed Diallo, who notched 19 tackles, including 9.5 for loss, in five games this season and earned first team All-MAC honors. Diallo played his high school ball in Toronto and went the JUCO route before landing at Texas A&M and ultimately Central Michigan in 2019. Diallo started 11 games during his time at CMU. He has one year of eligibility remaining.

*** The last defensive tackle transfer I was going to mention was Duke's Derrick Tangelo. However, he committed to Penn State while I was in the middle of typing up this post. Michigan was also going to check in on Charlotte defensive tackle transfer Timmothy Horne, but he gave Kansas State a commitment. It appears defensive tackles are flying off the board pretty quickly, so expect more names to pop up soon.
