With 105 yards against Wisconsin on Saturday, Higdon became the first Michigan running back to eclipse 100 in fivestraight games since Mike Hart in 2007 (Hart rushed for over 100 in every game he played that season except OSU).

Will Higdon make it six straight against Michigan State on Saturday? Last week I posted the same poll and 93 Forters said yes and 44 Forters said no.

It becomes a very interesting question this week given the stat that whoever wins the rushing battle wins this game like 95% of the time. Not sure of the exact stat, but I'm sure we'll hear it about 100 times this week.

On the season he has 687 yards in 6 games (he sat out against SMU), rapidly approaching his 994-yard season total last year. His 687 is good for 12th nationally despite only playing in 5 games (#1 - Henderson on Memphis - has 1,133 yards already). 687 is good for 3rd in the Big 10 behind Wisconsin's Jonathan Taylor (950) and Miles Sanders (700).

It will be a big challenge for Karan and the offensive line: Michigan State is the #1 defense in the country against the run, giving up just 62 yards per game on the ground and 2.3 yards per carry. They've only given up 374 yards on the ground all year. Teams have only attempted 160 rushes against MSU on the season, the 4th fewest against any team. In contrast, teams have rushed against Michigan 248 times (T 75th fewest) for 109 yards per game (15th).
