I have a cousin who is in several fantasy sports leagues with me. Before the baseball season, we made a personal bet on our group page (so it's verifiable). I won the bet and he owes me $50 for it. The problem is that he had a falling out with our family between the time we made the bet and now I find it highly unlikely he honors it. The tricky part is that there is a very good chance he ends up winning $200-$400 in a fantasy football league I run.
If he doesn't honor our $50 bet but wins money in the fantasy football league I run, should I pay out his full pay out (as it's separate from out bet) or take what he owes me out of his winnings?
I know the money isn't a lot, but I'm asking how I should handle this on principle.
