I'll give Devin Bush a pass only because he hasn't been medically cleared to play. Rashan Gary is somewhat understandable because he is likely to be a first round pick but I don't like that he is skipping the bowl game. Karan Higdon not playing in the bowl game I don't like at all. I get why these players are sitting out but I see no honor in what they are doing. Sure, there is a chance they could get hurt and hurt their draft stock.
It may take them longer to reach that big time contract but I truly believe if you work hard enough you can achieve your dreams.
I get the fact players can do what they want and it is their choice but I see no honor in it. You may disagree and that's your right. I really dislike that this is now a trend for players to skip their bowl game and for what? The chance you may get hurt? Sure, there is a chance they can get hurt but living live is full of risks and we do things all the time that involve risks.
We all know that these players would be playing if Michigan was in the Rose Bowl or playoffs. I look at these players as deserting their teammates and the school. I'm sure some of you will disagree but that's how I feel about it. I hope that someday these players will look back and wish they had played one more game for Michigan.
