Coach Martelli should play the freshmen. It’s not going to make any difference in the wins and losses and it’s better that they learn in game action. Both Bufkin and Collins looked better on defense than the guys they replaced anyway.
is Jones a point guard or just a scorer? We need both. Is that a problem?! Who’s next year’s PG?
Sad that ‘22 is ending this way, but at least there’s enough talent—if they choose to come back—to anticipate a pretty good ‘22-‘23 season. Our coaches are going to have to show that they’re more than just good recruiters. Can they develop the talent once it gets here? And they’re going to have to develop an offense that doesn’t rely on very many points coming from the paint. Might as well start now.
If you were on the Committee, would you put Michigan in the tournament as a 12-seed? Should we aspire to that, or would we be better off playing a couple games in the NIT at home?
If playing the freshmen is throwing in the towel, then I guess that’s how my suggestions will have to be interpreted.
