This might sound like crazy talk, but why didn't the school schedule his kids graduation at a different time? They knew when the 2017 US Open was starting. The knew that one of the greatest golfers of all time had a kid at their school. Why couldn't they have scheduled the 2017 graduation on a Wednesday instead of Thursday? They had upwards of 4 years to plan. Good on Phil for withdrawing and being there for his daughter and his family. But this seems like a situation that could have been avoided.
