All lost this week to unranked opponents. Wisco only beat Purdue by 8 at home. Miami only won by a point at home. Okie only won by 5 against Tex. USC won by a point at home. Sparty squeaked out a win by 3.
We seem to have found our running game. JOK is what he is - sometimes dynamic and nearly always running for his life on passing downs. Just re-watched and rarely is he in a clean pocket - we just don't pass protect well at this point.
Big games coming up but we CAN actually win them. In fact, there isn't a single game on the schedule we cannot win. A win is a win - and we all pointed to this game as a trap/difficult game at the beginning of the season. And....WE WON!
We can still beat #2/3 Penn State at their place. We can still beat a top 5 Wisco team at their place. We can still beat a top 5 O$U team at home. And we can still beat a top 10 Wisco team in the Big Ten Championship. That's a season with 4 wins against top ten opponents with one stinker loss in a monsoon.
This team can STILL go down as one of the greatest in Michigan history, a conference champ and playoff team. And until we lose, all of these goals are still within reach and possible. I get it, we probably won't win all of them - but we CAN win all of them. All of this talk of playing younger guys and next year is way to premature. We all still have our man cards - let's not lose 'em!
