No coach is above reproach.
Our OL play is a topic for serious questioning.
Play calling? Absolutely.
QB development? I mean, JH wasn't exactly handed an Andrew Luck (or a Braxton Miller for that matter) to work with. But it's fair to question why Speight seemingly regressed this year.
But this "overrated," "can't win the big game," "Dantonio is a better coach," "we'll never be an elite program," "Hoke was better against our rivals than Harbaugh," "we won't ever win it all" stuff, give it a f*cking rest. Jesus. The "woe is us" nature of this fan base is second to none. I wonder if OSU fans just threw in the towel after their loss to Oklahoma, or did they just chalk it up to a bad game and sack up again after that?
We go from two utter disasters for coaches to a guy who has "only" gone 24-7 so far, and it's not good enough for half this board.
The small picture? Yes, no doubt we need to fix some things. The big picture? If you think there's someone better for this job, you're crazy.
Oh, and I'll leave everyone with this - at all levels of sports, the saying is "defense wins championships," right? We seem pretty damn set on that side of the ball, don't we? From recruiting to scheme to player development, any complaints?
So unless you think we will never field a good offense, doesn't this all just amount to impatience and nothing else?
