the deal was at today's mud bowl as far as the animosity between the "SAEs" and the team they played today? In fact, many other greeks in the crowd seemed to have some animosity toward the other team.
The behavior of some of these supposedly smart, academic types was actually embarrassing. Players and supporters on both sides were constantly flipping the bird to each other. Fans were throwing water bottles and chunks of mud at the non SAE players. At one point, a huge gathering of Theta Chis in one corner of the endzone was loudly and with great vulgarity taunting the other team. At one point three players from the visiting team actually ran towards that corner of the endzone and starting fighting...in the mud with several of those Theta Chis.
I had never been to one of these before today. It was pretty fun in general but the behavior described was odd and quite frankly disturbing.
