For those who follow: the series is notted up with nothing but draws for the first 12 games. But the chess world was in an uproar today when the Norwegian world champ, Magnus Carlson, had a real chance at a win and offered the American a draw. Carlson, a rock star in Norway, said he just didn’t feel like punching through today. A series of speed games may be needed to break the tie and determine how the $1 million prize will be split.
