Had garage and cars broken into last night and with a baby on the way I am now in the market for home security cameras.
Ideally, I'd like something wireless and battery/solar operated so I don't have to run cables all thru the backyard to the garage and install power outlets for the cameras however I also don't like the idea of paying a monthly/yearly subscription in order to retrieve saved videos in a cloud. We have a ring doorbell but I also don't like the fact that sometimes we miss events because of the no pre-buffering as it doesn't activate and transmit quick enough for the mail carrier at times. The plus side is we already have a ring subscription and keeping everything under one app/payment is simple.
Does anyone have any wireless recommendations or experiences with other Ring products sans the doorbell? Or should I just jump on the sword and go full wired to avoid the buffering issue?
