OT: Walking Dead!

I don't watch, as the whole zombie concept doesn't do anything for me,

but I have a friend at work who absolutely loves the show.

Gotta be honest, the zombie concept never did anything for me either, but I started watching it, and got hooked. It's a great show.

AMC does a great job on their shows.

I was expecting the walking deal to suck after a season or two but it's still going strong.

Walking Dead spinoff. Different group of people, I believe in LA.

Not sure when it's supposed to start, but it's in the pipeline.

You just made my day!

I read up on it last night and it sounds like it will be pretty good. It'll be a whole group of other survivors, and it will tell there story from the begin. Which will be cool because we'll get to see how everything started possibly as opposed to how Walking Dead started with Rick waking up in a hospital bed. Can't wait!

I'm lobbying for a Walking Dead Detroit

all the pieces are to there, we hardly have to work on props, we have plenty of abandoned buildings and streets in which to work out our angst against the urban undead. Let's do this already!

Will start in a year or two. Series is about a group of survivors in Los Angeles. Of course the original starts with Rick being in a comma and only shows a few flashback seems about the collapse of society. The new series will focus on how quickly everything crumbled.

I would recommend that any of you WD fans read Jonathon Mayberry's series that parallels the walking dead. It's set in the west coast and may be the basis of the show you're referring to above. The titles are Rot and Ruin, Flesh and Bone, Fire and Ash, and Dust and Decay.

Excellent read.
