Was grocery shopping at Meijers with the wife, and as per usual ... checking out the beers on sale. They had 12 packs of Short's Brew Prolonged Enjoyment on sale, marked down $3 off the regular price of $16.50, so I snagged one.

It's a session India Pale Ale, very good! I looked up it's beer ratings when I got home, and it rates highly. I was surprised, especially after drinking a couple ... by how low the alcohol level is ... something like 3.7. Mainly surprised because I was feeling a slight buzz from the two.

It states right on the bottle " Unquestionably quaffable for those long days needed to remain upright and refreshed at the same time." That jives well with the reviews I read online ... lots of guys were saying it was their new all day go to beer now. I'm onboard ... whenever it's on sale, a very good brew and I recommend it.

Again, I really like it ... and it's going well with watching the BB Team play the Illini ... and they're doing quite well, especially given the circumstances. Cheers!

Had to edit this ... couldn't leave a "there" for a "their".

3.7%? Thats crazy low even for a session IPA.

I'd like to try it but i'll stick to the Imperial IPAs for my go to libations.

Oh yeah, not on my list for overall go to libations, but for those "long sessions" situations ... that's it's niche for me. Very good tasting brew ... beats the hell out of Bud Light or Miller Lite type beers. I do recommend it ... I picked it up because of the sale price and wanted to give something new for me a try. I see going back to it on those long, hot summer days at the beach or on my sailboat (look at me ... lol). It's good stuff.

Why drive 2000 miles over 3 days when you can fly and be there in 5hrs? CHIMAY! "Now, I can get done in 2hrs what it would normally have taken me all day!"

"Getting there is half the fun!" was written by a father who had a bad job and couldn't otherwise control his kids!
