What a tremendous stage today on the eve of the Tour ending in Paris tomorrow.
a 23 mile time trial with the final climb of over 6 kilometers with overall 3000 foot climb to the finish.
The second place rider in the Tour (Pogacar) was 57 seconds down to the first place rider at the start of this stage.
Pogacar ended up blowing away the competition in this stage winning the stage itself by 1 minute 21 seconds to gain
the yellow jersey and by beating the overall leader by 1 minute 56 seconds. So he effectively flipped the stage.
What a race and accomplishment.
Congrats to this 21 year old.
