A friend is getting married in two weeks, so we pulled together six foursomes and surprised him with everyone waiting at the course. A little warm still here in SoCal but otherwise a fantastic day.

Afterwards, we were on the patio having some drinks and appetizers and the waiter went to hand one of our guys a drink, and the waiter just fell straight forward, slammed his face on the table and then on the ground. He was down, bloodied, not responding. At first thought, seizure but he wasn’t overly tense.

Me and two others jump in, get him on his side to make sure he wasn’t filling up with blood, and he was not with us. He would take a gasp of air maybe every 1-2 min, pulse initially was fairly strong but then started fading rapidly. His lips were blue. We could not get him to snap out of it.

Paramedics showed up and took over. Put a tube in and started giving him air. Hooked up monitor, and I think I saw a pulse of 41.

Male Hispanic, probably 55-60 yrs old, Roberto was his name. I will be saying a prayer for Roberto and his family tonight.

My only guess is maybe heart attack, but I just don’t know. Very shaking experience.

Give your loved ones a hug.Thjngs can change quickly.
