The fiancé and I split a 32-ounce dry aged tomahawk at a very good steakhouse this evening (our first time ever trying one).
We both walked away, not overly impressed. We had it done medium rare and I found some of the pieces very tough to chew. I’ll take a filet mignon over it (especially for the price of a tomahawk).
The tomahawk seems to get a lot of “fanfare” without much “substance” (IMO).
