the Legal answer here? If you knew a friend had either taken or got in his possession somehow, pictures of someone (NOT an underage child, I know that would change things) but had pictures of an adult (partial nudity) who surely did not know that those pictures had ever been taken of her......What's the legal ramifications of not only the person who took the pics, but of "friends" that had seen them, or received them on an electronic device? Could the person who "received them but did not report them" be in legal trouble?
