One of my pet peeves as a football fan are hot dog players who lose games for their team because they don't play carefully. That guy should have had both arms wrapped around the ball in that territory. The Lions would have had a 1st down on the 1 yd line and likely won the ball game. BTW, Russell Wilson also had a stupid fumble that enabled Detroit to scoop and score.

Turns out the fumble was illegally batted out of bounds, and the refs blew the call ... should have been Lions ball.

So there you go, it was yet another way to lose by the Lions. I'm pretty sure even if they did get the ball back, they would have found yet another way to blow the game.

Consistent if nothing else.
