For those who don't have philosophical objections to reading the New York Times, check out the story on the end of the Cassini spacecraft's mission to Saturn and accompanying photo images in today's edition. Cassini's radio images will disappear just a few minutes from now--at approximately 7:55am Eastern time--an hour and 23 minutes after Cassini was vaporized in its plunge into Saturn's atmosphere. The hour and 23 minute delay is the time the signals take to travel the one billion miles from Saturn to earth at the speed of light. Incredible stuff!
