He collapsed 19 days ago at his grandsons high school graduation ceremony. This was held at Calvin College in GR for Forest Hills Northern HS.
He was resuscitated by a group of dr's and an off duty fire chief in the crowd. They performed CPR as well defibrillation paddles.
Yesterday he underwent successful quadruple bypass surgery conducted by Dr Willekes and his team at Spectrum Butterworth Hospital in GR.
This morning he was in great shape with perfect vitals and was up walking, albeit a short distance, less than 24 hrs later.
We are hoping his recovery goes as planned and he's able to come home to Midland within 5-6 days.
