and it either worked out in glorious fashion.... or did not. Maybe one of each. Can be marriages, businesses, investments, ex-girlfriends/boyfriends, bungee jumping, whatever.
Worked out.... 8 years ago I left my high paying corporate exec gig to buy a small business 100 miles south. Uprooted my young family to live in a town where we knew no one and income was not predictable. Turn the clock forward to 2020, we sold the business after working 24/7 for those 8 years. In retrospect, I look like a hero but I was pretty much crapping my pants daily for that entire time knowing that failure was not an option.
Did not.... when I was 12 I thought I was Evel Knievel and took my dirt bike off about 7 steps into a parking lot. Long outdoor hallway with 7 steps down into the parking lot just begging me to do a jump. Well, I did it. Went flying over the handle bars and face planted knocking my top 2 front teeth out and nearly ripping my face off in a bloody mess. I remember calmly walking in to see my mom for some medical attention and she about fell over. I thought it was kind of funny. 2 root canals and crowns later... not so funny.
