There is an old RULE in NBA trades which states that which ever team received the best player wins regardless of what they gave up.

The Chicago Bulls had traded three-time All-Star Jimmy Butler and the 16th overall pick
To Minnesota for Zach LaVine, Kris Dunn and the No. 7 overall pick.
