Had a company put down sod late fall a few weeks before the cold weather - it was a new build.
Had a guy come out today to discuss lawn maintenance this spring and summer and basically said the sod guy did a crappy job - no topsoil below, the sod isn't fully rooted yet and there's gaps - wasn't done properly
Sod guy said well you didn't water it correctly - was on the defense but i'll come out and look at it etc
Considering my options - I'm an attorney, not civil, but know the judge very well that would handle it - would have no issue filing a district court civil claim against this company if not fixed correctly under our warranty - this is in Michigan - A2/saline area btw - anyone go through a similar issue on new sod? any insight or advice?
Had a few people already tell me, get your money back and start from scratch - seems like a pain to do that - ideally this guy fixes the issues
