Let me start off by saying I do realize that certain companies are probably a little stronger with certain appliances then others but what do you think of the choices nowadays?
i had an appliance go out last week. And we have a lineup of similarly-aged in rest of the house so I am likely to be replacing multiple things over next couple of years.
first off the prices are crazy and the amount of choices are even crazier. It made my head spin. secondly, I got wary of the Japanese companies like LG, Samsung, etc. after reading some reviews, particularly about the cost of repairs and long waits for parts. I have been told the appliance repairmen HATE those manufacturers? Of course, plenty of horror stories with customer service with all of them. i work with someone who is on his third Samsung fridge in the last year.
i noticed very quickly if you tried to be careful with your budget or stay in the mid range or a little lower, the quality seemed to nosedive noticeably. And so many freaking options and features. Is it really worth it in some cases?
this will be a fun ride. I hope my luck is good starting with the first one. It was a dishwasher FYI. It was a fun couple of days picking it out. Lol
