I hadn't seen this before. If it's been posted here, I apologize.

I always enjoyed watching Rod Carew play ball. He always struck me as the kind of guy whose talent was matched by his quiet class and generous spirit.

In any event, Carew received a transplanted heart last year. Here's the story about the young man who donated the heart, the young man's family, and the bonds between them. (This story isn't new. But I hadn't seen it before.
