Final of American Idol was Sunday and final of The Voice is tonight. Which one do you like better?
I never watched any of these shows until 2016 when my wife moved over from Russia and we started watching The Voice. It was something she could watch in English without having to worry too much about the language barrier. I enjoyed it more than I thought. When Idol started back up a couple of years back, I didn't give it a second thought though. I didn't watch it the first time around, and didn't plan to watch it the second time around. But then the pandemic hit and we picked it up as another to watch. And to be honest, I enjoy it much more than the Voice . I love the blind audition tension of the Voice when the coaches are picking their teams, but the show goes downhill after that. Idol on the other hand, doesn't slack off after the auditions, which are always entertaining. The talent on Idol seems to be head and shoulders above what's on the Voice, and history has shown that Idol contestants have gone on to be much more successful (Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson, Carrie Underwood, and Adam Lambert to name the most famous). There hasn't been a single star to come out of the Voice that I've seen.
Of course, neither of them can hold a candle to AGT. We only started watching that a couple of years ago, and it quickly became our favorite. New season of AGT starts next week!
