Looking for some guidance.. I have just received a job offer in downtown Chicago. I currently reside and work in Dearborn, MI. A little background, I am 24 years old, live on my own, and am single. This would be a great career move for me at a great company which would open the door for me to a lot more advancement opportunities than where I am currently at and it does offer a nice bump in pay.
My only concern (which is a pretty big concern that I am struggling with) with moving to Chicago is finding somewhere affordable to live - especially because I would be making the move on my own. I have heard that the cost of living is pretty high and it worries me. My salary would be in the neighborhood of ~60k. Should I be as worried as I am about finding affordable living and not being broke? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
