Milwaukee Brewers reliever Devin Williams won the award, finishing with a 0.33 ERA. He only threw 27 INNINGS THOUGH.
Padres utility man (and former Wolverine) Jake Cronenworth was viewed as a frontrunner for much of the year, but finished in a second place tie with Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm.
I have no problem with Cronenworth not winning it (I don't think he should have), and thought guys like Bohm (.338 BA, .400 OBP), Dustin May of the Dodgers (2.57 ERA in 56 innings) and Tony Gonsolin of the Dodgers (2.31 ERA in 46.2 innings) were more deserving.
What I don't understand is how they gave it to a guy who only threw 27 innings.
