I have to admit that historically, I have often rolled my eyes when folks would come to this board seeking advice about a great many non-football related things, especially when the interwebs and "The Google" are so convenient and omnipresent as a means of getting most questions answered. So, you can imagine my sheepishness in admitting that yesterday, I got some excellent advice here about a knee injury that I probably would NOT have been able to ferret out on my own.

With that advice in hand, I now have a plan for diagnosis that will be cautious and not cost me an arm and a leg (knee?); my doctor, seeing as how I had done my homework, has even offered to do a quick knee exam for free for me. This is especially important as I am without insurance.

So, first off, thanks to my Fort brethren for the responses and especially those responses that came from qualified medical practitioners. They were super-helpful.

Second, I still wish Rivals would allow the creation of an OT, companion board. I just think having one would be an improvement over the current structure, but that may just be my taste.

Finally, I may still occasionally roll my eyes at some things. I'm not 100% convinced that this is the best place to bring serious questions about marital issues or child-rearing (I know for certain that it's NOT the place to come for fashion advice regarding cold weather knitted goods, wool or otherwise - I'm talking to you, @JohnBorton) but since I have neither to be concerned about, perhaps I will re-examine my bias.

And, in anticipation of the question, yes, I DO feel better now.
