Plus I hope you have a Happy and Safe New Year. I will try to be kinda brief but I cannot tell you how much I really enjoy this Board. From the B’s ( Borton and Balas ) to Clayton and Austin and EJ we have a great group who keep us so well informed.
I have been around here since 2001 it says. Boy has the time flown by. The board has changed in many respects , and we have had some really fun good times and times that test our patience . But through it all we still are Michigan fans. We laugh , argue , prolly cry as well. We share some stories that clearly make us realize that so many have it much worse than many of us. I also through the years have posted my share of sad stories and a few years ago the board came to the aid of a family in Hillman Michigan that lost not only their house , all their belongings , but their young son. I sadly probably never really kept people updated on the family. The money raised here , bought them a home in Hillman , people up there helped furnish the home and the father and mother were hired for full time jobs to help support their young daughter. This Board took a family in their arms and gave them a new start. This is the kind of person that comes on this Board . Kind , giving and caring people. So many on here have faced tragedy in here this year , and I read a post this morning in here that we lost a long term poster. It is a sad time as I said for many.
I know I lied by saying this would not be a long post , but I just want to once again say THANKS to the people on here who I argue with , agree with , and in many cases just read your thoughts. I cannot tell you how many hours of happiness these things have given me. I tried this season myself to be a more generous person to others as I sat on Thanksgiving Day here in Annapolis and watched the news showing the miles of cars in line to get a box of food for their Thanksgiving dinner. I just sat and gave thanks for our blessings. I tried to donate more with these thoughts in mind. It truly makes one feel good.
I lost a friend this past week as I posted earlier at age 52 and his funeral is Saturday morning . I cannot fathom their pain. So many families are dealing with this as well. I know many of you know families that have suffered losses as well. As we all celebrate with our families , take a moment to say a prayer for those families.
So as 2020 ends let’s all try to be positive , try to help those less fortunate . Let’s all try to make the Mods job a little easier and be a tad less hostile. But most of all let’s enjoy this place we all share.
One last thing. Whether we like him or hate him let’s try and support our coach and team. This team , coaches AND players deserve our support ! So .....
