Here is my review of the much anticipated horror film "It". First of all I don't think I've seen this much buzz about a horror film since "The Exorcist" without all the hysteria of course. I know I have been very excited for it. As for the film, it is very good and will definitely be added to my collection of horror films on bluray as well as my greatest horror films list. I want to say that it is not overly scary, although there are plenty of scares, and it is not excessively gory. It is funny, sweet, and suspenseful. There are moments that will have you covering your eyes and others that will have you near tears. It is very carefully cast and written so that you really care about these young characters. I wish I could have spent more time with them. There are marked differences from the book and the original mini-series which I welcomed since I didn't just want a retread of the same material. I feel like I could say so much but I need to keep this brief. To finish, highly recommended.
