OT: Is "happy wife, happy life" an inherently sexist remark?

My daughter told me today that it implies women are hyper-sensitive and dramatic and, therefore, it's sexist. She was "deeply disappointed" in me.

I refrained from suggesting that she was being hyper-sensitive and dramatic.

Anything to this? I mean, it's true, you don't hear hetero women saying "happy husband, happy life." But I just figured that's because they really don't give a shit whether we're happy or not, not because they've got a less orthodox or gender-normative way of viewing things.
