Just found out one of my former employees was killed during the Fedex mass shooting a few nights ago.
John "Steve" Weisert, you will be missed. He always referred to me as "the young man", which made him "the old man" in my book. He was 74 years old and he worked as an engineer in the Middle East before retiring to Zionsville, IN with his wife. In the last few years he started taking odds and ends part-time jobs just to stay active and make a few bucks - he was the oldest victim of yet another senseless act of violence.
RIP Old Man.
