In our area each spring we have an antique boat festival. Beautiful wood boats from a bygone era. Anyway I was helping out with their "ships store" (merchandise booth) and the club put together a roster of volunteers to help me out. Almost all of them were from Michigan and many attended U of M. What a great group of folks. One young man John Ross graduated from UM in 1954. He was awesome. He had lettered in track as a half miler and gone on to have a very interesting life. The whole weekend was a blast because I was surrounded by UM fans the were willing to share experiences from their time at UM and beyond. Good stuff.
