OT: I don’t really understand what Houston is doing with Watson

How and why would anyone trade for him? I’m 100% in favor of innocent until proven guilty, but from what I can tell there are 28 civil suits filed against him and now espn has reported “at least” 10 criminal complaints. Houston wants FIVE “high draft picks” and “starter caliber players.”

This all just makes absolutely no sense to me. Watson is a great player, I would rank him around 9-13 in the league, slightly better than someone like Matt Stanford, he’s also significantly younger, which helps, and has a ton of playoff experience already. But how do you sell the farm for someone in this position? Is there any way the NFL seriously risks letting him play and then being convicted of half a dozen sexual assaults? You’d have to think he will end up on the mysterious “commissioner’s exemption list” right?

I think 5 high picks and good players for Watson is borderline insane without these issues, there can’t possibly be a team wild enough to come near that now, is there?
