U-D Mercy suspended its women's basketball season in January after the entire team said they wouldn't play for the coach. 12 of 14 players have hit the portal. One will remain as a student. One will keep playing. The school is standing by the coach. All I can think is they hope the NCAA comes down on the coach for excessive hours (where have we heard that) so they can fire her without paying her. Meanwhile, the program is in ruins.
