i went to Scotland in 2013, and played a very random set of courses. Played Gleaneagle Ryder Cup course before the Ryder, Trump International, Castle Stuart, Kingsbarns and The Old Course. Read the book Tommy's Honour prior to going and it was awesome.
Headed back in 18 to play Prestwick, Turnberry, Troon, Carnoustie, Kingsbarns, Muirfield, and The Old.
Anyone have any books/reading material that you recommend. Really looking forward to playing the more historic courses and seeing the clubhouses. The courses we played the first time around were tremendous but they were all less than 10 years old. Other than the Old.
