I'm 53, golfed my whole life and still do at a pretty high level and I have left hip arthritis and will be getting my second cortisone injection very soon.
My Dr tells me it's only a matter of time, probably within a couple years or sooner, that I should look at a replacement. He tells me that I shouldn't lose a thing after it's done and will be playing within 4-6 weeks of the surgery.
Has anyone here had this done or know someone that has and how did it affect your ability to turn and get through the golf ball afterwards?
I know hip replacements have come a long way and recovery is relatively fast but I'm skeptical when it comes to sports.
Any insight is appreciated!
