I have a family member that signed (notarized) a non-contested divorce agreement under duress and based on promises not kept. This was roughly 30 days ago. He would now like to contest this divorce based on agreements not kept. He is in his 50's and has some disabilities so I am trying to help him through his situation which included a clause that he had to be out of the house in 10 days and that all he would get form his ex was $10,000 (she kept the house, a motorcycle, a payment from his wrecked car, her car, investments, etc.) on the surface it appears he was taken advantage of. He has worked and contributed to the household but not to the level that she has. He was married for under 7 years ( alittle over 5 was the length of the marriage) so as I understand it alimony is out but he should receive more than 10K given the value of the home.

Thank you in advance for any insight.
