I'm on a lake up in northern Michigan and of course that means fireworks. I'm not a huge fan but I get it. My pet peeve is people thinking that just because they're on a lake, they can shoot a bazillion fireworks over the lake, which ultimately end up in the lake. It would be one thing if the next day anyone who was shooting them off was out on the lake with nets cleaning the shite out of the lake but they don't. It's an electric motor only lake by design as the people supposedly want to keep it clean.
My questions are around this. My neighbors were shooting off fireworks right next door. Again, fine with it. My issue is that some of the crap was falling in my yard including almost landing on us as we sat around the campfire. Of course I wanted to go over there and ask if after the show they were going to come over and clean their garbage up but my wife told me not to start trouble, LOL! The owners are an elderly couple who are very nice, but this was their relatives shooting them off. Would you have gone over there? Also, I ended up cleaning it up and putting in a bag neatly and then placed the bag over on their property. I felt that was a semi-polite way of saying "yes your shite ended up in my yard."
Maybe that was petty but IMHO it's rude to rain down garbage on someone's property and just leave it there.
