OT Draymond Green...

I actually like his game in general but I don't think I have ever seen a star in the NBA who can be so great for a couple possessions, then so awful, then so great again and so on.

His inconsistency, especially making stupid, boneheaded plays and turnovers as often as he does is amazing to me.

Is Green really a star? I don't know. I guess it depends on the definition. Curry is a star. LeBron is a star.

Thompson is a Pippen equivalent to his team. Green is a Rodman.


Just my opinion.

I think there are superstars and stars. Maybe too tough to make a distinction but I do think Draymond is a start.

And if you're comparing him to Rodman, he is a hall of famer and deservedly so.

I happened to tune into Cowherd and he was all over LeBron for stepping on Green. I was watching the replay and I must need to get my eyes checked. . I understand 'radio/tv' and it's need for controversy.

Here is what I saw. LeBron saw the play in front of him down the court and he wanted to make a play/effort. Green is on the ground and LeBron steps over him. Unfortunately...Green doesn't want to just stay there and he gets up as LeBron already has half his step over him.

Stuff happens. Nobody is at fault. No story here.

To expand. I have a watched the play a few more times. They get tangled and then LeBron is sort of showing Green who is boss but then that 'altercation' ends and LeBron just wants to get involved in the play and they both simultaneously get tangled again.

I don't blame either players...both are competitive. Anyone going after Green or LeBron in that 'stepover' is trying to further an agenda. LeBron was just trying to get involved immediately into the play and go toward the ball since Green was passive on the ground.

Nothing wrong with stepping over a player when he is down on the ground.

Green is a star for golden state. Not sure he'd be a star on any other team but their system works for him.
