With the draft 3 weeks away, trades have happened and there's a bit more clarity about who will be available when the Lions pick 7th. Let's assume the draft goes like this at the start:
1. Lawrence
2. Wilson
3. Jones (49ers supposedly really like him)
4. Atlanta - Matt Ryan is 36. Will they draft a QB (Lance or Fields) or do something else?
5. Cincinnati - they don't need a QB. This could pick could be 1st non-QB off the board.
6. Miami - do they take the best OL available to protect their young QB? Or give him a top receiving option?
7. Detroit
Let's also assume Detroit doesn't trade and keeps the pick. Who are you taking at 7 if you are picking? It's very possible you'll be able to pick from the following options:
-Justin Fields
-The 1st OL in the draft (probably either Sewell and Slater)
-The 1st defensive player in the draft
-A top WR - possibly Pitts or Chase, but it is likely at least one or both will be gone.
Those are some great options for a team picking 7th thanks to the 1st three picks all being QBs.
