I am taking a few kids to a Nationals game next Friday night and will be spending the night. The next morning (Saturday) we have 1/2 a day to explore the National Mall and then we are of to Cleveland for the Indians game. Would you suggest getting a hotel near the park and then driving to the National Mall the next day or should I get a hotel closer to downtown and taxi it into the Nationals Park so the Mall is walking distance next morning? Also looking for a cool place to eat before the game. Thanks!
