I have a job interview in 2 weeks for a position that if offered will be difficult to turn down with a company located in Schaumburg.
I am trying to get a feel for what would be the best place to live in the event I will be relocating.
Key factors for me are
1) minimizing commute to the extent possible (i.e. max of 25-30 minutes)
2) proximity and convenience to metra to get downtown
3) reasonable convenience to my brother who lives in the north neighborhoods close to wrigley
It is just my wife and I and we are mid 30's. We don't plan on having kids. We enjoy arts (theater, concerts, festivals etc)
Interested if anyone can provide some experience with the suburbs and what the traffic commute would be in getting to Schaumburg (how far east could I go before it becomes counterproductive)
Any thoughts and advice would be appreciated.
