Family (wife & young adult boys) spending a night and 2 days on the way to Mackinaw Island for a couple days, and maybe back through Charlevoix on the way back this week.
Plan on bringing a Jet Ski to launch in Lake Charlevoix, bike the path toward Petosky, eat, etc. QUESTIONS: There appears to be a good boat launch at Lake Charlevoix, true? Any jet ski do's and don'ts specific here? Is it possible to dock or moor the jet ski at least a short while during the day, perhaps with a screw in beach mooring?
I have scoped out the bike path, but wonder is there is a good bike rental in Charlevoix to a avoid having to get a bike roof rack. And by good, I'm thinking of a good hybrid,like the Trek FX series (upright handle bars with some road bike components). Not too much to ask right?
Also, any Michigan Men/Women run a local restaurant or retail? We'd be happy to give you our business. Finally, any advice on the etc. part of the trip. If we like it, we'll be back.
